Katie Trout, LSW
Katie is a licensed social worker who earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Toledo in 2013. Before coming to Anchored in Hope, Katie provided community mental health services and support to children ages 3-18. She provided therapy, case management, and crisis intervention to families, groups, and individuals in need of services and support. Katie developed therapeutic curriculum and facilitated different socioemotional groups for youth.
Katie utilizes a motivational, non-judgmental, and strengths-based approach to therapy. She has provided services to individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, conduct related disorders, and autism. Katie utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, techniques from Play Therapy, and, within her parent/child sessions has also utilized C.A.R.E. and P.R.I.D.E. skills. She is also certified as a Safe and Sound Practitioner. Katie strives to restore and improve clients’ emotional, cognitive, and behavioral functioning and to empower clients to enhance their lives and relationships.
