Lora Meyers is a Licensed Social Worker with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Toledo. A practicing social worker since 2013, Lora has worked with youth and adult clients dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, and trauma. Lora also has experience working with clients who have experienced religious trauma and sexual trauma.
Lora supports clients as they transform their internal relationships, including their relationship with self, their body, and their spirituality. She also has experience working with clients from diverse faith practices and non-traditional relationships. This allows her to offer her clients a non-judgmental and holistic counseling experience, one which honors each individual’s unique relationship to their mind, body, and soul.
Lora combines an integrated, IFS informed approach with EMDR and CBT, enabling her to provide a compassionate and affirming environment and approach as she assists her clients in healing wounds, reframing their beliefs, releasing old emotions, and restoring balance in their lives. Lora also enjoys using music, art, and movement in her sessions for clients interested in these modalities, including drumming and Safe and Sound protocol.
